Hundreds remain without power in Miami Valley from Saturday’s windy, cold weather

Power outages from overnight rain and gusty winds continue into Saturday where over 4,000 customers were without power in the Miami Valley earlier but as of this afternoon, the numbers have decreased into the hundreds.

The Duke Energy map said this morning that 2,294 residents faced power outages in Butler County. Duke Energy showed another 523customers without power in Warren County, while energy company AES Ohio indicated another 838 of its Warren County customers are without power.

As of 4:50 p.m., power has returned to most counties with the most being in Montgomery County with 18, 96 in Warren County with AES Ohio and 9 in Clark County via Ohio Edison.

AES had about another 700 power outages spread throughout the region besides Warren County earlier.

A Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 11 p.m. tonight to 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

AES Ohio said winds will slowly decrease today, but a cold front will bring subzero temperatures. AES Ohio added crews are working to restore power.
