CNNMoney reported that the online retailer launched seven new clothing labels with little fanfare.

The clothes do not indicate that they are Amazon brands.

The seven new labels include apparel and accessories for men, women and children.

Franklin & Freeman is the label for men's dress shoes. Franklin Tailored is a men's suits and accessories line.

Women's clothing is through the James & Erin label, as well as Lark & Ro and Society New York. The North Eleven label makes winter accessories for women.

Scout + Ro is Amazon's children's clothing label.

But the new labels may not make much of a dent in Amazon's apparel sales.

"Twelve years after entering the (fashion) category, Amazon's customer engagement in apparel remains low, with only about 15percent of Amazon's active customers shopping fashion," according to a research note from KeyBanc Capital Markets retail analysts.

And there is probably a reason for the quiet label rollout, experts say.

"They're being very strategic about this," said KeyBanc's leading retail analyst, Edward Yruma. "If Amazon is successful in this initiative, it could be "disruptive to the whole industry."

Prices of most items are under $100. Mashable reported that a tote bag from the Society New York label is $36.97 and Franklin & Freeman oxfords are $53.97.

Men's suits are pricier. A Franklin Tailored suit is $247.97.

Amazon hopes to draw a wide array of shoppers to its labels at different price points, .
