The festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission for adults (12 and over) is $10, children (3-11) years-old are $7. Friends of Aullwood members are free with their membership card and children two and under are also free.
While this festival is obviously all about the apples, there's so much more that you don't want to miss out on:
🍎All apple everything
No one can resist the smell of fresh-baked apple pie. It's a fact. Aullwood apple pies are made on site in a Dutch oven for a truly authentic delight.
If you’re a real apple lover, you know you’ll want to wash that delicious pie down with some freshly pressed apple cider. At the very least, you’ll want to take some of that fresh cider home with you.
While you’re at it, why not check out a live demonstration of how to make apple butter? At Aullwood Apple Farms, they still do it the old fashioned way, with a copper kettle over an open flame.
🍎Apple beer and cider
Apple Fest is first and foremost, family-friendly. However, that doesn't mean Aullwood isn't bringing in drinks for the adults to stay hydrated. There will be fall-inspired beers and hard cider from Bonbright Distributors including Strongbow Gold Cider and New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin to name a few.
🍎 Delicious food
Contrary to popular belief, the Aullwood Apple Fest is not just about the apples. Although apples are obviously a mainstay, festival pros rave about the delicious food.
Refreshing lemon shake ups, kettle corn and corn on the cob will be available to help you savor those last days of warm weather.
Aullwood’s food truck and booth features a variety options including: Zombie Dogz, Bella Sorella Pizza, El Buen Taco, El Paisa, Buckeye Chocolate, Brookville Optimist Club and Katie's Cookies. Yummy options on hand will be hot dogs, wood fired pizza, corn-on-the-cob, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, mango, fruits and french fries.
🍎Sweet Treats
A slice of apple pie is nothing without a scoop of ice cream on top. Get your fill of homemade ice cream and other sweet treats at Ullery’s.
Brookville Optimist Sugar Waffles will also be on site, and they’re almost as irresistible as the apple pies.
Children’s fun
So many fun and free children’s activities will keep everyone entertained all day:
🍎The PNC Mobile Learning Adventure
🍎Tractor pull wagon ride
🍎Meet Johnny Appleseed as he strolls the festival grounds and hands out free apples
🍎Miami Valley Dance Council Square Dancers will provide lively entertainment on Saturday
🍎Music from Urban Station on Saturday & Willow Creek on Sunday
🍎Chris Rowlands’ famous songs and puppets on both days
🍎Artisan and craft exhibitors
