Several fan favorites, including Thin Mints, Samoas and Trefoils, typically go for $4 per box. New specialty flavors like S’mores and the gluten-free Toffee-Tastics are $5. A newer feature for some booths this year include Digital Cookie, which allows cookie cravers to pay with debit or credit cards.
The annual Girl Scout Cookie selling season is part of the Scouts’s program to teach young girls about goal-setting and entreprenuership. All proceeds raised from the campaign benefit local troops.
If you’re still on the hunt for the limited-time treats, there are several locations in the greater Springfield area to grab a box or five. The Rural King location on Upper Valley Pike will have cookies available for purchase until the end of the selling season, as well as the Wal-Mart location on North Bechtle Avenue.
