Jessica Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, will be parents again for the third time.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” the caption read. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
People reported that Simpson, 38, announced the news in the form of two Instagram posts, each featuring son Ace Knute, 5, and Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 6. The first post, captioned “SURPRISE...” showed the big brother and sister holding black balloons with white polka dots. The next revealed they were having a baby sister.
In May 2017, Simpson shut down rumors of a third child on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“I have two beautiful children, and I’m not having a third,” Simpson said. “They’re too cute … you can’t top that.”
Simpson and Johnson, 39, married in 2014 in a ceremony with both children present. They were engaged in 2010.
