California drive-in shows 'Spongebob' and 'Fifty Shades' on neighboring screens

According to KTVU, the screens at West Wind Solano Drive-in in Concord, California, face different directions, one facing north, the other facing west; but the arrangement isn't severe enough to totally block the view of patrons of one movie from another.

The screen is not viewable from a nearby highway, but neighboring homes do have a clear view according to KPIX.

One neighbor told the CBS station that it wasn't the first time to have a R-rated movie at the drive-in.

At least one parent complained to a theater worker, who they said was apologetic, agreeing it wasn't appropriate, citing other complaints to theater workers, KTVU reported.

Both KPIX and KTVU contacted the company that runs the drive-in.  Neither station received a response.
