New report: Dayton hospitals among biggest job advertisers

The Western Ohio employers advertising most aggressively online for qualified job applicants include Kettering Medical Center, which ran a total of 792 ads from June 14 through July 13, according to state data.

Kettering Medical Center topped the list in the Dayton region, with Dayton Children’s Hospital following with 183 online job ads, according to the state’s “Help Wanted Online Job Postings,” which regularly tracks the ads.

Crown Equipment Corp. was third with 161 ads for that time period, followed by Mercy Health (143 ads) and Lowe’s (141 ads).

In all, across the West Ohio region, a total of 16,056 job openings were advertised, according to the state. That’s up 502 ads from the previous reporting period.

The most advertised occupations included truck drivers (947 ads), registered nurses (603 ads), retail salespeople (510 ads), first-line supervisors in retail (413 ads) and software developers (261 ads).
