National Hot Chocolate Day: Where to get a cup in Springfield


Today is National hot Chocolate Day. Here are seven places in Clark and Champaign counties that offer hot chocolate so you can take part in the celebration.

Winans is a regional chain that was established in the 1800s and is in its fourth generation of family ownership. Along with coffee and hot chocolate, the business also specializes in locally made chocolates.

Un Mundo Cafe, also located in downtown Springfield, serves 20 varieties of tea from Rishi Tea, along with locally made wines, foods and baked goods.

Coffee Expressions is a locally owned family business open seven days a week. It features coffees and teas from Crimson Cup. In addition to standard hot chocolate, it also offers seasonal flavors like pumpkin hot chocolate, as well as frozen hot chocolate.

The Depot Coffee House, 644 Miami St., Urbana
