Major Springfield employer to reveal financial results this week


Assurant, one of Springfield’s largest employers, will release its fourth quarter and full-year financial results later this week.

The company’s Global Housing Division, based in Springfield, provides insurance and related services in partnership with financial institutions and other major clients. It has more than 1,900 workers here.

Assurant, based in New York, will host a conference call with investors at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, to discuss the results.

Alan B. Colberg, president and chief executive officer, and other company leaders will review fourth quarter and full-year 2017 results during the call.
