Nonstop, discount flights to Florida start today from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Frontier Airlines will now fly nonstop to Miami, Fla. from the Cincinnati airport. The passengers aboard the inaugural flight received a small gift when they boarded the plane on Thursday morning. Frontier Airlines serves more than 80 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Dominican Republic and Mexico on nearly 300 daily flights.

» Dayton Airport director’s plan to lure passengers: Bigger planes, more flights

Earlier this year, Frontier announced it was growing its Cincinnati service with the addition of six nonstop destinations, including Seattle, Miami, San Antonio, Austin, Jacksonville and Raleigh/Durham. That brings Frontier’s service to 22 destinations from CVG, according to a statement from the airport.

Flights to Seattle, San Antonio, Austin, Jacksonville and Raleigh/Durham will start in the spring 2018 with ticket sales beginning in late August.
