Company lays off 71 employees in Bellefontaine

Approximately 71 employees will lose their jobs at a company in Bellefontaine.

The PIC Group sent a letter to Ohio Department of Family Services explaining the decision. The company provides quality inspection and sorting services to Daido Metal Bellefontaine, located at 1215 Greenwood St. in Bellefontaine.

Daido notified PIC that it will reduce the need for the company’s contracting services. The layoffs will be permanent, and affected employees are not represented by a union. The company encouraged impacted employees to apply for other open positions on its website.

Michigan-based PIC provides containment, inspection, quality engineering, liaison, training, consulting and supplier development services.
