Ohio Senate President Keith Faber, R-Celina, announced that he will run for a seat in the Ohio House next year. Faber is not eligible to run for re-election in the Ohio Senate because of term limits.

“I want to continue to serve and I’ve been asked by people to continue so that I can lend stability at a time of rapid change,” Faber said in a written statement. “As State Senator, and Senate President, I’ve worked hard to represent Western Ohio and I look forward to this new opportunity.”

Actually, it's an old opportunity for Faber. He served in the House from January 2001 to January 2007.

Faber will run for the seat being vacated by state Rep. Jim Buchy, R-Greenville, who decided to retire. House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger, R-Clarksville, endorsed Faber's candidacy.
