Liberal MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow predicted today that Ohio Governor John Kasich would make the main stage in the August 6 Fox News-sponsored Republican presidential candidate debates in Cleveland.
"John Kasich is turning out to be interesting," Maddow said. "Doing it on sort of different terms than everybody else."
Fox will limit the number of candidates who appear on the main debate stage at 9 p.m. to the 10 with the highest average national poll numbers, although the company is not saying which polls it will count. The remaining six candidates would appear at a 5 p.m. debate. Most recent national polls would put Kasich in the latter group.
