100 days to go before GOP convention in Cleveland

Just 100 days to go before the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the RNC released a one-minute video that hypes the record voter turn out seen in GOP primaries and caucuses and the giant field of candidates winnowed to three contenders.

"The diverse and dynamic group of Republican presidential candidates has led to record-breaking turnout and voter engagement, setting the stage for a historic convention in July," the RNC said in a written statement.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, real estate tycoon Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas each get two appearances in the slick video. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus says at the end: "These candidates are going to come together and unify in Cleveland to get behind that nominee."

Of course, it's still unclear who will be the GOP nominee.

The convention, scheduled for July 18-21, is expected to draw 50,000 visitors, including 4,772 delegates and alternates and 15,000 journalists. The event will draw an international press corps second only in size to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, according to the RNC. It'll be the fourth time the GOP has held its national convention in Ohio.
