Showers Saturday night, cool and breezy for Mother’s Day Sunday

Winds gusted up to 30 miles per hour Saturday night as a cold front moved through the area, but should calm down Saturday overnight into Sunday morning. Temperatures will fallinto the mid-30s overnight. Skies will clear behind the front, but a light breeze will limit the development of frost.

Sunday (Mother’s Day) forecast, sunny and cold to start the day; Some clouds develop in the afternoon. Temperatures feeling more like late March in the 30s to start, then into the mid-50s Sunday afternoon. Be sure to cover your plants Sunday night as conditions will be better for patchy frost by Monday morning.

Waking up to some patchy frost on Monday and temperatures only in the 30s. Sun gives way to afternoon clouds and still cool with a high only in the upper 50s. This time of year we should be near 70 degrees.

Tuesday will be a bit better. Morning clouds give way to some late day sun as a warm front lifts through the area. This will open the door for some milder temperatures. Tuesday afternoon will reach highs in the upper 60s.

Partly sunny and above normal temperatures on Wednesday with a high reaching near 80 degrees.

Not as warm with a chance of showers on Thursday; Highs in the mid-70s.
