Seasonable temps, dry conditions for the week ahead

Temperatures and humidity will slowly rise as the work week progresses, but there won’t be much relief in the form of rain.

As a result, everyone should remember to water their plants and lawns, said Storm Center 7 meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.

“Our UV index will also be an 8 through mid-week … This is still in the ‘Very High’ category,” she said. “Sunscreen and drinking cold fluids are suggested for anyone that is outside for long periods of time.”

Things should remain quiet through the overnight hours tonight, with the exception of a few stray showers sneaking in from the southeast.

Temperatures tonight will fall into the low-60s.

Vrydaghs called Monday’s weather a “great start to the week.” Some morning clouds will give way to sun and a few scattered afternoon clouds. High temperatures will be seasonable in the low 80s.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and warm, according to Verydaghs. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80s.

Wednesday is expectd to be partly sunny and humid with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid-80s.
