Sea Shepherd Attempts to Twart Japanese Whalers
A whale tied to the side of a Japanese boat flounders in the wake as it's dragged through the ocean. The Minke whale had been harpooned by a Japanese whaling vessel -- hunted in the name of research. As they attempted to transfer the mamal to another boat to be butchered, a ship from the conservation group Sea Shepherd wedged itself in between the two Japanese boats to stall the procedure.
