FAIRBORN — Wright State’s Vaughn Duggins and Todd Brown have been named to the Horizon League’s preseason all-conference team.

Butler placed returning player of the year Matt Howard and sophomore Gordon Hayward on the first team.

The fifth spot went to Norris Cole, a Cleveland State guard out of Dunbar High School who averaged 13.3 points for the HL tournament-winning Vikings as a sophomore.

There were big expectations for Duggins and Brown last season as well, but Duggins will repeat his junior year because he broke a finger and played in only four games. He averaged 13.8 points per game two seasons ago.

Brown, a senior, led the Raiders with an 11.7 scoring average and was second to Cory Cooperwood in rebounding.

Under The Rug,

You're right he'll sit a game or two, that is a given....the point, which I knew you wouldn't get is that society treats student athletes different than the rest of the student body at any university and without just cause. I'd apologize for the naming calling, but perception is reality. The short bus just stopped to pick up the UD fans. Have fun at the game and make sure you leave early...it's a UD tradition.

Under the rug... Nothing will be done until his legal proceedings are finished. He should probably be suspended for a home game or two though.

You sir have no clue about sports..of course he has to take punishment from the team..you just don't drive drunk risking lives with out paying a price.

I would think Coach Brownell, being the man he is will sit him...I was just wondering how long. You should be glad any one even cares about WSU basketball...
hey thanks for the name calling...very mature

Dear Under the Rug,

What planet do you live on? His punishment is whatever the courts decides it to be....just like everyone else. Why should he sit for any games? Do students who do the same thing have to take a semester or quarter off school? So your suggesting he gets punished twice for the same crime? Maybe 3 times having to read what *** monkeys like you write. Let me guess, you've NEVER had a drink and drove? Doubt it. Shut your yapper and find something else to worry about.
