SPRINGFIELD — Sarah Watson had 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Wittenberg University women’s basketball team defeated Allegheny 87-76 to enter into a three-way tie for third place in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

The host Tigers shot 65 percent from the field in the first half to build a 47-27 lead and held on to finish the week with a 3-0 record.

Katelyn Haralamos had a career-high 22 points and Tecumseh grad Lynsey Clark added 11 for Wittenberg (11-9).

The Tigers are tied with Denison and Kenyon with a 7-5 record in the NCAC.

Cedarville 65, Notre Dame, Oh. 60: The Yellow Jackets went on a 9-0 run in the final four minute including 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the final 1:39 as visiting Cedarville got its fifth win in the last six games.

Kara Cayton, Kayla Jenerette and Raegan Ryan all scored 12 points for the Yellow Jackets 
(13-7).

Urbana 65, Lindenwood 56: The host Blue Jackets outscored the Lions 42-24 in the second half as Urbana won its fifth straight.

Jessica Saffold had a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds and DeVonyea Johnson had 17 points for the Blue Knights (9-11).

Area Men

Cedarville 70, Notre Dame, Oh. 57: The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first seven minutes and never trailed en route to its fourth straight win.

Zimmy Nwogbo scored 17 points and Austin Foote added 
14 points for Cedarville (14-7).

Malone 89, Urbana 73: The host Blue Knights were outscored 53-40 in the second half as Urbana lost its third straight. Dyrell Dolson led the Blue Knights (5-13) with 23 points.

Miami (Ohio) 59, Ball State 53: Quinten Rollins scored 14 points and Brian Sullivan knocked down four 3-pointers as the RedHawks handed Ball State its fourth straight loss.

Sullivan, who made three of his four 3-pointers in the first half, finished with 18 points on 5 of 9 shooting.

Memphis 72, Xavier 68: Joe Jackson had 14 points and Wesley Witherspoon scored all 12 of his points in the second half as Memphis used a late rally for the victory. Jackson connected on all 12 of his free throws including six in the final 2:12, part of Memphis (16-7) closing the game with a 
21-6 rally.

Dezmine Wells led the Musketeers (15-8) with 19 points.

Saint Louis 58, Dayton 50: The Flyers shot a season-low 24.6 percent from the field in a 58-50 loss before a near-capacity crowd of 10,414.

UD, suffering its fourth straight defeat, was just 14-of-57 from the field and 4-for-24 on 3-pointers while registering a season low in points.
