UD's Daugherty named player of the week

Junior guard Kristin Daugherty was named the A-10 women’s basketball player of the week after leading the Flyers to three wins and Purdue’s Basketball Travelers Classic title over the weekend.

Daugherty finished the weekend with 31 points while shooting 50 percent from the field in wins against Georgetown, Purdue and Seattle in West Lafayette, Ind.

UD senior Kendel Ross was last week’s A-10 player of the week.
