COLUMBIA, S.C. — Clemson coach Oliver Purnell has agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the Tigers through 2016.

Purnell’s base salary will be $275,000 per year and his supplemental income $1.075 million per year.

The former University of Dayton coach has gradually turned Clemson into one of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s top programs, improving the team’s winning percentage each of the last five years.

The Tigers have won 72 games the past three seasons, trailing only Duke and North Carolina in the ACC.

Oliver Purnell? Who is that? Lets speak of coaches who are loyal to the program and havent left the cupboard bare beyond the senior class. Sure, the bum left us Waleskowski,Marshall and Finn but after that we endured down years because OP knew he was going to Clemson or UVA. Good riddance Purnell!!!!!!!!! Lets keep the talk to Brian Gregory, Harris.
