Lowdown: Despite having just sophomores and freshmen on their roster, the Billikens have been a different team since Austra lian Cody Ellis became eligible at midseason, going 11-5 in league play.

Top players: Guard Keith Cothran and forward Delroy James were third-team all-league picks.
Lowdown: Losing at UMass in regular-season finale dimmed their NCAA tournament hopes. The Rams have the league’s worst defense based on opponents’ field-goal percentage (47.3).

Best player: Junior forward Chris Wright was named first-team all-league, the fifth Flyer (and first non senior) to earn that honor.

Top player: Senior Ricky Harris is first-team all-league and has been on a hot streak of late. He scored 24 in a road upset of sixth-seeded Charlotte in first round.
Lowdown: The Minutemen are in rare territory by making the quarterfinals. They hadn’t won an A-10 tourney game since 2002.
