COLUMBUS — Ohio State athletic department officials remained silent Friday, June 12, on football recruit Jamaal Berry, who faces drug charges in Miami.

Berry admitted to buying the marijuana found in his car Thursday morning, a Miami-Dade County arrest report shows.

He was pulled over after he ran a red light at 12:10 a.m. Thursday. The officer saw a bag of marijuana on the backseat and wrote in his report that Berry, who is from Miami, “stated that he had just bought the narcotics approximately one hour before and planned to smoke the narcotics with friend.” The bag contained about 28 grams of marijuana, the report said, which is about 1 ounce. Berry was charged with third-degree felony possession.

Previously under head coach Jim Tressel, there have been four players charged with felonies, and none played for OSU again.

Stooooopid - wished he'd have had some Tressel guidance B4 he was busted - wished he'd had 18 grams and been 17, but wouldn't think it more evil than 'getting stupid with buds'.
Not like Izzy or Ayer's car theives. Tressel has a hard decision - I guess I'd talk to him with his "family" before breaking the "felony" barrier - but it's not much of a felony - sounds like misdemeanors translated to FLA laws

USC has been under "investigation" forever....Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo....they seem to be a favorite of the powers to be. Case in point Alabama just got hit by the NCAA which may cost them 7-21 wins....I didn't know they were under investigation????? As far as Mr. Berry, he hasn't even graduated from H.S. yet......how many of you smoked in H.S? How many of you are smoking now? It seems to be headline news whenever the Buckeyes have something negative...

Before you start in Tressel's recruits, take a look at Urban Meyer at Florida.... 27 players arrested since he took over--and many of them continue to play, unlike those at OSU.
Huh?

What type of moron buys drugs and just throws it onto the back seat of his car? No wonder why this guy wanted to go to Ohio State. It's a school for dunces.
