COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State plans to reveal a new uniform for the Buckeyes' annual rivalry game against Michigan on Nov. 21.
Athletic director Gene Smith confirmed the new look in an e-mail on Wednesday night. There had been speculation on the Internet earlier in the day about the colors, fabric and fit of the new uniform.
Smith said the uniform is for one game only. The design will honor the 1954 Ohio State national championship team.
Smith said there were no plans to make wholesale changes to the current uniform or color scheme worn by the Buckeyes.
The 15th-ranked Buckeyes (7-2) play at No. 11 Penn State (8-1) on Saturday, then host No. 8 Iowa before playing at Michigan.
