WEST LIBERTY — West Liberty-Salem High School senior Becka Peterson had 20 points and 24 rebounds as the host Tigers defeated Graham 60-43 in non-conference action Tuesday night.
WLS built a 23-point lead in the third quarter and held on to improve to 2-0. Alexis Smith scored 13 points and Melany Ward added 12 points for the Tigers.
Lindsay Black tossed in 15 points and Taylor Dyke had 13 points for the Falcons (0-1).
Southeastern 45, Northwestern 29: Taylor Perry had four of the Trojans’ seven 3-pointers and scored 15 points and Jenna Erwin added 13 points for the Trojans (1-1).
Destiny McMurty had 10 rebounds for the host Warriors (1-1), who went 5-for-20 from the free-throw line.
Triad 62, Cedarville 25: Kelsey Funderburgh scored a game-high 25 points, Faith Orecchio had 14 points and Dayna Ober added 10 points as the Cardinals (2-0) won the Ohio Heritage Conference opener for both teams.
Emily Sheridan had 9 points and 8 rebounds for Cedarville (0-1).
