Urbana High School junior Trischa Lacy had six 3-pointers, five in the first quarter alone, to break the area record for 3-pointers in a season in an 86-33 Central Buckeye Conference crossover victory over Stebbins on Wednesday night.
Lacy was 6-of-9 from 3-point land for a game-high 28 points. She broke the area record of 89, set by Kenton Ridge’s Stephanie Bennett in 2002-03. The state mark is 106 by Canfield’s Julie Kulics in 1992-92.
The Hillclimbers (13-6, 7-2 CBC) jumped out to a 30-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Kaley Moss added 21 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.
Tecumseh 92, Benjamin Logan 49: Bianca Quisenberry had her first quadruple double as the Arrows won their ninth straight.
Quisenberry had 32 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals. Brittany Frappier added a career-high 23 points, and Chelsey Davis had 14 points for Tecumseh (17-2).
Jessica Yoder scored 16 points for the host Raiders (6-13).
Kenton Ridge 52, Graham 21: Lindsey Fenwick scored 21 points as the Cougars posted their eighth win in the last nine games.
The host Falcons played stall ball to hold Kenton Ridge 27 points below their season scoring average. But Graham scored only nine points in the first half and was held to a season-low in points.
Mariah Harris added 15 points for the Cougars (16-3).
Lindsey Black scored nine points for the Falcons (9-10).
Shawnee 38, Northwestern 27: The Braves held the host Warriors to eight points in the second half to get their second win in the last three games.
Morgan Spitzer scored 12 points for Shawnee (8-11).
Kelsey Crooks had nine points for Northwestern (1-18).
Northmont 72, Springfield 42: Ashley Tunstall scored a team-high 12 points as the Wildcats finished the regular season 5-15 and 0-10 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division.
Courtney Sweet scored 17 points for the Thunderbolts (12-8, 6-4 GWOC).
Tippecanoe 61, Greenon 48: The Knights couldn’t recover after being outscored 22-9 in the first quarter. Jenna Robertson led Greenon with 17 points, and Heather Slaughter scored 14.
The Knights fell to 13-6. Tippecanoe (12-7) won for the fifth time in the last six games.
