Triad at Greeneview girls, Saturday, 1:30 p.m.: The Cardinals have won 16 straight regular-season games, but none will be bigger than Saturday’s matchup with the Rams in Jamestown.
Triad, which shared the Ohio Heritage Conference title with West Liberty-Salem last season, beat the Rams 62-53 on Dec. 8.
Entering Thursday’s games, the team’s have combined to win 17 of their next 19 games.
The Cardinals (13-0, 8-0 OHC) hold a one-game lead over the Rams (10-3, 6-1) in the OHC standings. With a win, they can take a two-game lead over the Rams with five games to play.
A Rams victory would pull Greeneview into a tie for first-place, and pull Mechanicsburg (11-2, 8-2 OHC) right back into the thick of the championship race.
The game also features two of the most talented players in the area in Triad senior Kelsey Funderburgh (28.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 5.3 steals per game) and Greeneview sophomore Ashton Lovely (25.3 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals, 1.1 blocks). They’re No. 1-2 in the area in scoring.

Mechanicsburg at Greeneview boys, tonight, 7:30: With a win, the Indians can pull into a first-place tie with the Rams, the defending OHC champions.
Northeastern at Catholic Central boys, tonight, 7:30: The Irish pulled off a big comeback victory on Dec. 13 against the Jets, 61-57. They’ve combined for six straight wins.
Tecumseh at Tippecanoe boys, tonight, 7:30: The first-place Arrows need a win against their biggest rival to keep pace with Shawnee atop the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail Division.
Things to watch
Dual clash: The 11-time defending state champion Graham wrestling team travels to rival Lakewood St. Edward on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the annual dual meet featuring two of the top programs in the nation. The Eagles will likely give Graham its biggest challenge so far this season.
Tops in the county?: The annual Clark County Bowling Tournament will be held at Northridge Lanes on Saturday afternoon. Kenton Ridge, Southeastern and Greenon will all compete for the boys title, while Northwestern and Greenon should battle for the girls title.
