NORTH LEWISBURG — Kelsey Funderburgh scored 37 points for the Triad High School girls basketball team in a 68-33 victory over visiting Northeastern in Ohio Heritage Conference action on Saturday.
Funderburgh had 13 points in the second quarter. She hit four 3-pointers.
The Cardinals improved to 5-0 and 3-0 in the OHC. Northeastern fell to 0-4 and 0-2 in the OHC.
Haley McCohn had 10 points for the Jets. Courtney Simonelli had 10 points for Triad.
Kenton Ridge 83, Shawnee 49: Lindsey Fenwick hit seven 3-pointers and scored 33 points for the Cougars (4-0).
Greeneview 52, Southeastern 37: Ashton Lovely scored 23 for Greeneview.
The Trojans (3-3, 2-1 OHC) led 9-6 after the first quarter, but the Rams (3-1, 2-1 OHC) outscored them 17-7 in the second quarter.
Mechanicsburg 48, West Liberty-Salem 42: The Indians led 41-25 after three quarters, and the Tigers made it close with a 17-7 advantage in the fourth.
Kristen Dunlap scored 18 for Mechanicsburg. She hit three 3-pointers.
Mechanicsburg improved to 4-0 overall and kept pace with Triad atop the OHC at 3-0.
Tecumseh 65, Stebbins 20: Bianca Quisenberry led the Arrows (3-1, 1-1 Central Buckeye Conference) with 25 points, 10 steals and seven assists.
Miranda Mougey added 14 points. Megan Christmann had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Catholic Central 51, Cedarville 43: Taylor Johnson and Paige Lewis each scored 14 for the Irish (3-2, 1-2 OHC). The game was tied after the first quarter, but Central won the second quarter 13-5.
Central made 11-of-17 free throws, while the Indians made just 2-of-11.
Emily Sheridan had 16 points for Cedarville.
Fairborn 60, Springfield 25: The Wildcats (0-2) fell behind 18-5 in the first quarter. Ashley Tunstall led Springfield with eight points.
Greenon 47, Graham 41: The Knights improved to 3-0 with Heather Slaughter scoring 16 points.
Boys
Catholic Central 77, Cedarville 50: Calum Latham led the Irish with 24 points and added 11 rebounds and five assists. Brian Kelly had 22 points and eight rebounds.
The Irish (3-0, 2-0 OHC) outrebounded Cedarville 40-23 and shot 53 percent from the field.
Columbus Bishop Ready 55, Yellow Springs 46: The Bulldogs led 38-37 after three quarters, but were outscored 18-8 in the final quarter. Roland Newsome led Yellow Springs (1-2) with 16.
Vandalia 46, Tecumseh 27: The Arrows were outscored in every quarter and fell to 1-2. Chase Culbertson led Tecumseh with 14 points.
