BERLIN, Ohio — Bianca Quisenberry’s 3-point play with 50 seconds left lifted the Tecumseh High School girls basketball team to a 44-41 victory over Lorain at the Classic in the Country Challenge.
Quisenberry hit a 10-foot jumper and was fouled. She hit in the free throw. Lorain missed several 3-pointers in the final minute.
Quisenberry scored 27 points. The Arrows trailed 33-32 going into the fourth quarter. Tecumseh improved to 10-2 with its ninth victory in the last 10 games.
Graham 64, Urbana 60: The Falcons handed the Hillclimbers their first loss in the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division, and now both teams are tied with Greenon at 5-1.
Taylor Dyke had 11 of her 29 points in the fourth for Graham, and Lindsay Black scored 22.
Emmanuel Christian 44, Troy Christian 31: The Lions (5-7, 2-4 Metro Buckeye Conference) won their third straight game. Megan Ball and Hannah Decker each scored 15 points.
Northeastern 36, Northwestern 33: The Jets (2-11) made 7-of-8 free throws in the fourth quarter and rallied from a 28-22 deficit.
Boys
Norcross 56, Greeneview 53: The game featured 14 lead changes and 11 ties, but the Rams fell to the three-time state champ (since 2006) from Georgia at the Flyin’ to the Hoop Invitational at Trent Arena in Kettering.
Evan Bradds had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the Rams (9-3).
