Harris lifts KR past Greenon

Kenton Ridge High School senior Mariah Harris had a game-high 34 points as the Cougars girls basketball team beat Greenon 82-50 on Wednesday night.

Harris scored more than 30 points for the third time this season, and Lindsey Fenwick added 21 points as KR (15-2) won its seventh game in a row.

Whitney Robinson had 14 points and Teddi Tankersley added 11 for the Knights (12-5).

Tecumseh 80, Northwestern 33: The Arrows led 44-13 at halftime en route to their seventh straight victory.

Bianca Quisenberry had 27 points, Chelsey Davis had 24 points and 12 rebounds and Megan Christmann added 10 points for Tecumseh (15-2).

Kayla Hurley had 15 rebounds for the Warriors (1-16).

Jonathan Alder 74, Graham 42: The Division II 14th-ranked Pioneers (14-4) jumped out to a 36-16 halftime lead in the win.

Lindsay Black had 17 points and Taylor Dyke added 15 for the Falcons (9-8).

Wayne 50, Springfield 29: Shonte’ Williams had 10 points for the Wildcats, who fell to 5-13 and 0-8 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division.

Wrestling

Preston Bowshier (120), Tyler Sowards (138), Cody Ryan (145) and Bobby Mounts (170) all were double winners as Kenton Ridge beat Miami East 57-16 and Tippecanoe 55-24 in a tri-meet.

Rams split: Jason Thompson had two pins at the 132-pound weight class as Greeneview split a tri-match with Oakwood and Eaton.

Andrew Hoskins (120, 126) and Armani Robinson (171) both went 2-0 as the Rams (9-5) beat Oakwood 58-6 but fell to Eaton 36-25.

SIGNING DAY

Shawnee High School senior offensive lineman Zach Ruf and Catholic Central senior kicker Taylor Gannon both signed letters of intent on Wednesday to play football at Division II Ohio Dominican University next season.

• Springfield senior defensive end Darius James signed a letter of intent to play football at D-II Notre Dame College, joining Springfield teammates Onslow Williams and Brian Richards.
