The Shawnee High School boys basketball team took over first place in the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail Division with a 85-74 victory at Tippecanoe High School on Friday night.

Junior Jaelin Williams had 24 points, while senior Derek Tincher and freshman Jaden Greenwood each had 19 points as the Braves (11-4, 7-1) won for the seventh time in eight games.

With the victory and Bellefontaine’s 42-41 victory over Tecumseh, Shawnee moved into first place in the Kenton Trail. The Braves host Tecumseh at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Greeneview 58, West Liberty-Salem 46: Tyler Bruntz had 15 points and Eric Green added 13 as the Rams (12-4, 10-1 OHC) stayed in first place in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

Grant Burden had 16 points and Ross Hickenbottom added 13 for the Tigers (6-11, 5-7 OHC).

Mechanicsburg 60, Southeastern 45: Cody Callicoat had 22 points as the Indians (11-5, 9-2 OHC) won for the sixth time in seven games, remaining one game behind Greeneview in the OHC race.

Josh Black had 11 points for the Trojans (8-8, 6-6 OHC).

Northeastern 67, Triad 52: Daniel Lenk had 20 points and Travis Hardesty added 15 for the Jets (9-9, 7-5 OHC).

Collin Watson had a team-high 15 points for Triad (3-13, 2-10).

Catholic Central 74, Cedarville 38: The Irish blew the game open by outscoring the Indians 24-9 in the third quarter.

Brian Kelly had a game-high 14 points, to go with five steals, four blocked shots and three assists for Central (11-4, 8-4 OHC). Teammates Calum Latham and Jake Aldridge each had 11 points.

For Cedarville (3-15, 0-12), Jordan Reese had 11 points and Hudson Grant added 10 points.

Graham 54, Indian Lake 31: The Falcons held a 32-17 halftime lead and were never challenged, extending their win streak to seven games. Floyd Lowry had 11 points to pace Graham (10-4, 6-2 CBC).

Stebbins 59, Kenton Ridge 46: The Cougars started slow and finished slow, getting outscored 37-27 combined in the first and fourth quarters.

Christian Thompson had 11 points for KR (6-11, 0-8 CBC), while Warren Napper and Davante Harper each added 10.

Dayton Christian 63, Emmanuel Christian 56: Jared Klawer had 14 points for Emmanuel Christian (3-13, 1-7 Metro Buckeye Conference), while Kevin Stewart added 11 points and Kyle Gosney scored 10 and seven rebounds.

Yellow Springs 83, Xenia Christian 51: Roland Newsome had 28 points, Greg Felder, Jr. had 26 points and Cole Edwards added 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Bulldogs improved to 5-10 and 4-4 in the Metro Buckeye Conference. Robbie Jones also had a season-high 11 assists.

Wayne 93, Springfield 79: Ryan Minney led four players in double figures with 18 points for the Wildcats (5-10, 2-6 Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division).

Ben Logan 67, Northwestern 51: The Warriors (4-11, 3-4 CBC Mad River) dropped their second straight game.

Girls hoops

Dayton Christian 57, Emmanuel Christian 47: Chelsea Ison hit five treys and scored 17 points and Megan Ball added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Lions (9-9, 4-6 MBC).
