Kenton Ridge High School sophomore Mariah Harris nearly had a triple-double on the opening night of the girls basketball season Friday, Nov. 27, in a 63-39 victory over visiting Southeastern.

Harris 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Saira House also scored 17, hitting three 3-pointers.

Northeastern 56, Middletown Christian 4: With 25 steals in the game, the Jets held Middletown Christian scoreless in the second and third quarters.

Jillian Adams led Northeastern with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Gray had 14 points and eight rebounds. Megan Reisinger had 10 points. Jessica Rebert had eight points and eight steals.

Catholic Central 66, Emmanuel Christian 52: The Irish jumped out to a 43-26 halftime lead.

Allison Williams led the Irish with 21 points, and Maggie Williams added 16.

Ashley Oren led the way for the Lions with 28 points, hitting three 3-pointers. Haley Lewis made four 3-pointers and scored 17.

Northwestern 39, Greeneview 35: The Warriors outscored the Rams 13-3 in the second quarter after falling behind 9-4, then held them off in the fourth.

Rebecca Bruner led Northwestern with 10 points, and Bri Lovely led all scorers with 14 for the Rams.

West Liberty-Salem 46, Bellefontaine 24: Christine Park scored 21 for the Tigers, who outscored Bellefontaine 17-7 in the first quarter.

Wayne 58, Tecumseh 34: Bianca Quisenberry scored 19 for the Arrows in the loss.

Oakwood 27, Springfield 22: The Wildcats’ MiRanda Boddie-Cannon led all scorers with 13 at the Oakwood Invitational.

Miami East 58, Graham 51: Darbie Zirkle led the Falcons with 16 points, and Tori Purk scored 12.
