SPRINGFIELD — The Catholic Central High School girls swimming team and the Kenton Ridge boys won the team titles at the Kenton Ridge Invitational on Friday.
Allison Lohnes led the Irish girls team with first-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (26.7 seconds) and 100 backstroke (1:02.67). She also swam with the winning 200 medley relay (2:02.88) and 400 freestyle relay (4:03.74).
The Irish scored 178 points. Shawnee finished second among the eight teams with 74 points, and Tecumseh placed third (63).
Catholic Central’s other winners included Ragen Engle in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.94) and the 200 freestyle relay team (1:55.78).
Shawnee’s Kendra Crew won the 100 butterfly (1:03.84).
The Kenton Ridge boys scored 109 points. Central placed second (79), and Shawnee was third (74).
Gabe Rastatter led the Kenton Ridge boys team with a victory in the 200 freestyle (1:59.65). He also joined John Littell, Jacob Snyder and Robbie Ashbaugh on the winning 200 medley relay (1:54.05) and 400 freestyle relay (3:40.34).
Springfield’s Trevor Keriazes won two events, the 500 free (4:59.71) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.96).
Catholic Central’s Matt Pettit won the 100 backstroke (59.67) and 100 free (53.03).
Yellow Springs had two winners. Erika Chick won the 200 free (2:00.87), and Elizabeth Malone won the 200 IM (2:17.97).
