PREP HOOPS ROUNDUP: Trojans win fifth straight game

SPRINGFIELD — The Southeastern High School boys basketball team stretched its winning streak to five games with a 43-33 victory at Kenton Ridge on Tuesday.

Jordan Hitt scored 11 points, and Preston Snodgrass had 10. Southeastern (6-3) outscored the Cougars in every quarter but the fourth.

Kenton Ridge (4-6) lost its second straight game. Nick Lacey led the Cougars with eight points.

Greenon 86, Arcanum 60: The Knights (5-4) set a season high with 86 points. It’s the most points scored by a Central Buckeye Conference team this year. They led 50-16 at halftime.

Anthony Colletti scored 23, and Josh Pilcher had 21.

Northeastern 52, Northwestern 36: The Jets (6-6) won their third straight game. Travis Hardesty and Daniel Lenk each scored 11 points.

Cody Lough led Northwestern (3-6) with 15 points.

Catholic Central 69, Emmanuel Christian 44: Brian Kelly led the Irish (7-3) with 17 points.

Fairborn 60, Springfield 56: The Wildcats (4-4) cut the deficit to two points with 13 seconds left, but Fairborn hit its free throws to seal the victory.

Darryl Perry had 17 points and 17 rebounds. Brantley Davis scored 21.

Greeneview 78, Cedarville 31: The Rams bounced back after being upset by Northeastern on Friday, shooting 73 percent from the field (32-of-44) and improving to 8-2 and 6-1 in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

Tyler Bruntz scored 17 points for Greeneview.

Riverside 58, Triad 50: The Cardinals led 14-13 after the first quarter, but were outscored 31-20 in the middle two stanzas. Triad (1-8) has lost five in a row.

Ben Logan 53, WLS 47: Landon Hormann had 16 points for the Tigers (3-6).

Girls

Yellow Springs 38, Middletown Christian 32: The Bulldogs (4-4, 2-3 Metro Buckeye Conference) built a 15-3 first-quarter lead and held on to win their third in a row. Angela Allen had 14 points.
