SOUTH CHARLESTON — Jenna Erwin hit 2 free throws with 8 seconds left to give the Southeastern High School girls basketball team a 47-46 victory over West Liberty-Salem on Monday. Erwin had 10 of her 30 points in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans improved to 8-7 and 6-3 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with their fourth win in the last five games. It’s their second one-point win over the Tigers (9-6, 3-6 OHC).
Maria Daulton, Becka Peterson and Melany Ward all scored 13 for the Tigers.
Emmanuel Christian 52, Middletown Christian 23: Megan Ball had her second triple-double of the season with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 13 steals. Hannah Decker had 12 points and 10 steals for the Lions (6-8, 3-5 Metro Buckeye Conference), who have won four of their last five.
Greenon 53, Arcanum 40: Whitney Robinson scored 26 as the Knights (11-3) won for the sixth time in the last seven games.
Tecumseh 72, Springfield 35: Bianca Quisenberry had 20 points and 13 rebounds as the Arrows (12-2) won their fourth in a row.
Miami East 52, Graham 35: The Falcons (7-6) led Miami East (14-1) 24-21 at halftime, but it was all Miami East in the second half. Taylor Dyke scored 17.
