MECHANICSBURG — Austin Black ran for 111 yards and scored one touchdown as the Mechanicsburg High School football team (3-2 overall) improved to 2-0 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 14-6 victory over Southeastern.
The Indians rushed for 279 yards and built a 14-0 lead before Southeastern (3-2, 0-2 OHC) got on the board in the fourth quarter on a 21-yard TD pass from Luke Pavlatos to Preston Snodgrass.
Triad 21, Northeastern 14: Colton Young ran for 57 yards and three TDs, the last of which came at 8:16 of the fourth quarter and was the difference for the Cardinals (3-2, 1-1 OHC).
Young completed 20-of-31 passes for 139 yards. Triad outgained the Jets (2-3, 1-1 OHC) 324-246. Addison Ford had 94 yards rushing for the winners.
Brentyn Stoops had 68 yards and both scores for Northeastern.
Urbana 64, Stebbins 16: Nathan Mays completed 8-of-12 passes for 160 yards and three TDs, and Tanner Lawrence ran 11 times for 135 yards and two scores for the Hillclimbers (3-2).
Shane Ware added 107 yards and a score on 11 carries, while Bry Ireland had 134 yards receiving.
Greeneview 14, Cedarville 0: Caleb Carter and Armani Robinson had 11 tackles each as the Rams registered a rare shutout.
For Greeneview (2-3, 1-1 OHC), Mason Gallagher had a 31-yard interception return for a TD and Chance Frye had a 11-yard TD run.
