Greenon High School junior Anthony Colletti scored a game-high 27 points and had 14 rebounds as the Knights defeated host Graham 42-39 in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division boys hoops contest Friday.

Colletti went 16-for-17 from the free-throw line as Greenon (3-1, 2-0 CBC) never trailed after 2-0 in the first quarter. Cody Carpenter’s steal and two free throws with eight seconds left iced the Knights ‘first win over the Falcons in four years.

“In my 27 years of coaching that is the hardest defensive effort I ever seen,” praised Greenon coach Tim Lacy of his team.

Grant Goddard scored 12 points for Graham (2-2, 1-1 CBC).

Catholic Central 53, Southeastern 48, OT: Brian Kelly scored 17 points as the host Irish improved to 4-0 in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

Mark Ellis, who had 14 points and 14 rebounds, hit two free throws with 40 seconds left in the game to force overtime. Calum Latham had 15 points, 7 assists and 4 blocks for Central (5-0).

Duncan Mercer had 12 points for the Trojans (1-3, 1-2 OHC).

Springfield 47, Centerville 45: The Wildcats evened their Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division record at 1-1 by outscoring their hosts 15-6 in the second quarter to grab a 26-18 halftime lead, then holding off the Elks in the second half.

Ryan Minney had 16 points to lead Springfield (2-1), while Henry Alexander added 15 points.

Tecumseh 51, Stebbins 36: The Arrows only managed 12 points in the first half, but outscored their guests 39-21 in the last two quarters to stay perfect in the CBC Kenton Trail Division.

Trent Mead had 12 points for Tecumseh (3-2, 2-0 CBC), while Jordan Gozelski scored 11.

Northeastern 53, West Liberty-Salem 46: Daniel Lenk went 10-for-14 from the free-throw line and scored a game-high 20 points as the Jets (2-3) improved to 2-1 in the OHC.

Michael Mack scored 13 points for the Tigers (0-4, 0-3 OHC).

Northwestern 74, Indian Lake 40: The Warriors hit a season-high 11 treys to pick up a CBC Mad River home win. Tevin Spriggs scored 12 points, while Brett Siemon, Jordan Hall, Tyler Marton, Justin Philpot, Jesse Aukerman and Kyle Baxter all had nine points each for NW (2-3, 1-1 CBC).

Urbana 55, Ben Logan 39: The Hillclimbers went on a 17-6 run in the second quarter to improve to 2-0 in the CBC Mad River. Karl Singer had 18 points and 9 rebounds and Zack Stillings added 11 points and 13 rebounds for Urbana (3-1).

Greeneview 63, Triad 31: The host Rams held the Cardinals to nine points in the first half to improve to 3-0 in the OHC.

Evan Bradds scored 12 points and Eric Green added 11 for Greeneview (3-1). Triad is now 1-4, 1-2 OHC.

Mechanicsburg 65, Cedarville 53: Derik Frost scored 14 points and Cody Callicoat added 13 points for Mechanicsburg (3-3, 2-1 OHC).

Jordan Reese scored 16 points, Hudson Grant and Kyle Oldiges both had 14 points for Cedarville (1-6, 0-4).

Miami Valley 63, Yellow Springs 55: Robbie Jones had a career-high 17 points, while Roland Newsome scored 16 and Greg Felder Jr. added 11 as the Bulldogs (2-3) fell to 1-2 in the Metro Buckeye Conference.

Troy Christian 70, Emmanuel Christian 32: Ryan Mahoney led the host Lions (1-4, 0-3 MBC) with 9 points.

Boys Bowling: Zach McGraw bowled a 516 series and Rob Hannah rolled a 479 series as Southeastern defeated Mechanicsburg 3,129-2,914 at Victory Lanes. This is the first match the Indians have lost in two seasons and their first-ever OHC loss.
