ELMIRA, NY —The Dayton Bombers gave up three power play goals to the team with the worst power play stats in the ECHL, falling in the second of two at Elmira 6-3.

Dayton won by the same score the night before.

The Jackals took the lead for good in the first period on power play goals by Brandon Roach (at 3:36) and Pierre-Luc Faubert (6:35). It was 2-0 after one.

Elmira scored the first two goals of the second period by Paul McIlveen (just 16 seconds into the period) and Steve Yetman (power play at 5:31). Dayton then replaced goalie Paul Drew with Tyler Plante.

Nino Musitelli got the Bombers on the board at 7:13 off a pass from Mike McLean. Just 29 seconds later, Ryan Smyth got his eleventh goal of the season (assists to Danny LaPointe and Christian Gaudet) to make it 4-2. After a score by the Jackals' Chris Korchinski at 14:53, Musitelli got his second of the night and eleventh of the year (assists to McLean and Jarret Lukin) to make it 5-3 at 17:07 and close out second period scoring.

Faubert would find an empty net at 18:12 of the third for the 6-3 final.

The Bombers continue their road trip Friday at Trenton at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard on the B2 Networks beginning at 7:15 p.m.
