Cody Puckett, Donnie Joseph, Nick Christiani, and Travis Webb are competing in the prospect-rich Arizona Fall League. The four former Dayton Dragons have been assigned to the Phoenix Desert Dogs, one of six teams in the league. Other Cincinnati Reds prospects on the team are pitcher Brad Boxberger, catcher Yasmani Grandal, and infielder Brodie Greene.

Meanwhile, six former Dragons, including three from the 2011 team, are participating in the 2011 Baseball World Cup, an event featuring teams from 16 nations. First baseman Donald Lutz (Germany), right-handed pitcher Kyle Lotzkar (Canada), and left-handed pitcher Luca Panerati (Italy) all spent the ’11 season with the Dragons. Shortstop Didi Gregorius (2010 Dragons) and right-handed pitcher J.C. Sulbaran (’09-’10 Dragons) are playing for the Netherlands, while first baseman Neftali Soto (’08 Dragons) is playing for Puerto Rico.
