Wright State softball puts two on All-HL first team

The Horizon League announced its softball postseason awards Tuesday, and Wright State junior outfielder Honnah Susor and sophomore catcher Macy Cook earned spots on the first team.

Susor finished in the top three in eight offensive categories, including first in triples (six) and third in batting average (.379). She ranked second in runs scored (39), stolen bases (22) and on-base percentage (.472) and third in hits (58) and total bases (83), while tying for third in walks (26)

Her .449 average in conference play ranked first, as did her 35 hits, 24 runs scored and five triples.

Susor also made first team all-league in 2016 and was a member of the HL all-tournament team in 2015.

Cook finished ninth in the league with a .347 batting average and ranked seventh in on-base percentage (.428).

Wright State (20-29, 14-10 Horizon) opens HL tournament play at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Chicago. The fourth-seeded Raiders will face No. 5 Detroit in the first round of the double-elimination format.
