UCLA assistant Ed Schilling coached at Wright State, played at Miami

Ed Schilling is in his fourth season as an assistant to Steve Alford at UCLA.

Wright State fans will remember Schilling as the head coach of the Raiders from 1998-2003.

Prior to that, Schilling was four-year starting point guard at Miami University, sharing the court with future NBA standout Ron Harper.

Per his UCLA bio, Schilling is still Miami’s all-time leader in assists.

Schilling also has a history with Kentucky head coach John Calipari. Schilling was an assistant to the current Wildcats mentor when both were at Memphis and Massachusetts and also worked for him when Calipari was president and head coach of the New Jersey Nets.
