Springfield falls at home to Centerville

The bad news for Springfield High School’s boys basketball team? The Wildcats fell behind early and was forced to play catch up in a 60-42 loss to Centerville on Friday.

The good news? They get another shot at the Elks on Saturday.

Springfield travels to Centerville in another key Greater Western Ohio League Central Division showdown for a game that’s already been rescheduled twice because of bad weather. Springfield (14-5, 5-3 GWOC Central) entered Friday one-half game behind Central-leading Beavercreek and Wayne.

Danny Davis scored 13 points and Daeshawn Jackson added 11 for the Wildcats.

Eric Meininger scored 13 points and Kyle Dodson added 12 for Centerville (13-7, 6-2).
