HS Results 1/13: Wayne boys continue undefeated season, move to 11-0

The Wayne boys basketball team knocked off St. Vincent-St. Mary’s, 68-57, to continue its unbeaten season.

Rashad McKee put up 20 points in the win.

Deshon Parker added on 19.

Darius Quisenberry rounded out the scoring with seven points and eight assists.

The Warriors go on to face Upper Arlington Monday, January 15th, for a prime time matchup at Flyin’ to the Hoop at Trent Arena.

Boys Basketball

Butler 48, Bellefontaine 44: Kort Justice, Michael Kriell and Braedon Norman each scored 10 points in the Butler win.

Troy 62, Stebbins 53: Zach Reichelderfer led all scorers with 29 points in the win. Stebbins was led by Damiene Boles with 12.

Oak Hills 52, Lakota West 37: Nick Deifel tallied 19 points and eight rebounds in the win. Mitch Wagner led West with nine points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Northwest 59, Edgewood 53: Daemon Cherry scored 13 points in the NW win. Ethan McCarty countered with 18 points for Edgewood.

Ross 55, Harrison 35: Ross’ Landon Angel tallied 18 points to lead, adding on four rebounds, two steals and one assist in the win.

Franklin 60, Brookville 38: Braden Hall and Jared Kinzer each chipped in 19 points in the Franklin victory. Kinzer added on 11 rebounds for the double double.

Badin 55, Mariemont 41: Zach Switzer shot for 13 points in the Badin win. Nathan Hegemann tacked on eight.

LaSalle 67, Alter 62, OT: LaSalle’s Riley Haubner led all scorers with 28 points. Connor Bazelak put up 19 for Alter in the loss, while Dominic Ruffolo tacked on 12.

Bethel 65, Arcanum 38: Ryan Rose tallied 22 points in the Bethel win. Carter Gray had 10 for Arcanum.

Newton 76, Houston 66: Ryan Mollette scored 18 points for Newton in the win, as Kleyson Wehrley tacked on 16. John Leist led all scorers with 21 in the loss.

Catholic Central 67, Emmanuel Christian 61: Adonis Davis put up a double double with 25 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Jason Channels tacked on 14 and Nick Kittles 11.

Troy Christian 39, Miami East 26: James Anderson led all scorers with a game high 13 points in the win. Dylan Hahn had eight for Miami East.

Coldwater 80, Celina 61: Marcus Bruns netted 23 points for Coldwater. Mitch Balster tacked on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Jackson Center 46, New Knoxville 28: Bryce Sosby and Aidan Riechert each had 11 points in the win. Nathan Tinnerman tallied 12 in the loss.

New Bremen 55, Covington 40: Luke Vonderhaar put up 13 points in the NB win. Grant Hoehne tacked on 12. Zach Parrett led Covington with nine.

St. Henry 62, Anna 59: Tyler Schlarman had the double double for St. Henry in the win with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Wyatt Bensman led Anna with 15.

Girls Basketball

Springfield 32, Troy 29: Mickayla Perdue scored 16 points to lead Springfield. Tia Bass, Alara Holycross and Jordan Short each chipped in seven for Troy.

Hamilton 85, Colerain 17: CiCi Riggins nailed a double double, shooting for 40 points and 13 rebounds to lead Hamilton in the win.

Oakwood 43, Eaton 39: Lauren Hapgood added 17 points to her season total in the win. Becca Mowen put up 13 in the loss.

Preble Shawnee 61, Dixie 36: Mckinlee Ruppert tallied 17 points in the loss.

Walnut Hills 64, Alter 31: Caitlin Carruth netted eight points for Alter.

Dayton Christian 42, Cin. Hills Christian Aca. 41: Camryn Collinsworth netted 17 points and seven rebounds in the win.

Franklin Monroe 43, Arcanum 30: Audrey Cable tallied 12 points in the win. Gracie Garno had 12 for Arcanum.

Tri-Village 60, National Trail 29: Lissa Siler led all scorers with 18 points in the win and Maddie Downing added on 17. Evan Byrd shot for 10 in the loss.

Houston 46, Bradford 31: Skipp Miller’s 16 points fell short in Bradford’s losing effort.

Jackson Center 52, Lehman Catholic 28: Rylie McIver netted six points in the loss.

Wrestling

Beavercreek Dual Match: Beavercreek took home both matches, topping Miamisburg and Lakota East. ‘Creek won 11 out of 14 against Miamisburg and 10 out of 14 against East.

Hammer and Anvil Inivational: Lebanon took home third overall with Daniel Garlock winning at 126, Evan Ball at 170 and Blake Justice at 195. Franklin came in sixth and Tippecanoe eighth.

Miamisburg Pool Tournament: Valley View, Miamisburg and Stebbins finished as the top three respectively. Stebbins took home first in four weight classes – Logan Scott at 132, Ryan Whitten at 145, Brady Wilson at 152 and Marvelous Rutledge at 160.

Middletown Varsity Pool: Monroe came in third overall with 199.5, Northmont falling short by 0.5 points at 199 for the fourth place finish. Jaden Litteral took home first at 106 and Henry Danishek at 145 for Dayton Christian.

Spartan Wrestling Invitational: St. Marys came in third with 147.0 points.
