HS Results 12/11: Stebbins gets first win

The Stebbins boys basketball team picked up its first victory of the season with a 75-47 win versus Greenon on Monday.

Jonathan Mpanzu led four players in double-digit scoring for Stebbins with 17 points. Murad Ilyasov added 15, Mickael Mayo 11 and Jamie Bullock 10.

Luke Downing led Greenon with 12 points and Logan Coppock tacked on 10.

Girls Basketball

Beavercreek 53, Alter 14: Carmen Williams scored 16 points and Taylor Steinbrunner tacked on 11 to lead ‘Creek in the big win.

Northmont 63, Bellbrook 56: Makayla Cooper carried Northmont with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Shalaya Heath had 13 points. Cassidy Hofacker and Bekah Vine tallied 16 apiece for Bellbrook.

Springboro 70, Chaminade Julienne 46: Jordan Diehl dished out 22 points for Springboro, which took control with a 34-15 run in the first half. Annie Weckesser had 14 for CJ.

Miamisburg 55, Stebbins 30: Emily Kepple led the way with 16 points, Alex Sperry added 15 and Kirah Pringle 12 for Miamisburg.

Tippecanoe 59, Fort Loramie 41: Allison Mader (23) and Maddie Frederick (22) combined for 45 points to pace Tipp. Abby Holthaus led Loramie with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Middletown 58, Little Miami 56: Aubriana Bellard scored 18 points and Aliyah Burks added 13 to help the Middies hold off a Little Miami rally.

Franklin 49, Edgewood 45: Layne Ferrell put up 22 points for Franklin. Zoe Stephen had 19 for Edge.

Talawanda 37, Indian Hill 35: Addie Brown poured in 25 points with nine rebounds to give Talawanda the edge.

Ponitz 48, Stivers 24: Ponitz put together a 23-8 run in the first half to take control. Jamiyah Walton led the way with 14 points.

Thurgood Marshall 45, Meadowdale 17: Thurgood jumped ahead early with a 16-point swing through the first half.

Twin Valley South 39, Dixie 35: Mylan Crews paced TVS with 14 points, including six from foul shots in the final quarter to seal the win. Sydney Creamer had 15 for Dixie.

Tri-Village 63, Houston 36: Trisa Porter recorded 16 points, Lissa Siler 14 and Maddie Downing 12 to lead Tri-Village.

Legacy Christian 62, Yellow Springs 14: Olivia Combs finished with 17 points, Emma Hess 14 and Anne Kensinger 11 to lead Legacy.

Middletown Christian 43, Jefferson 24: Freshman Marissa Lykins carried Middletown Christian with 14 points.

West Liberty-Salem 47, Triad 31: Selena Weaver paced WLS with 13 points. Emma Vanninem totaled 10 for Triad.

New Bremen 49, Lincolnview 41: Paige Jones put up 15 points and Macy Puthoff 14 for New Bremen.
