HS Results 11/27: Perdue sets school record in debut

Freshman Mickayla Perdue made quite an impression in her varsity debut, setting a school record for Springfield in an 88-19 win against Yellow Springs on Monday.

Perdue poured in 40 points, including five three-pointers, to post a Springfield scoring record. She was an efficient 14-of-21 from the field and added five assists.

Amani Wagner led Yellow Springs with seven points and 11 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

Northmont 56, Butler 26: 11 players scored for Northmont in the season-opener, led by Salena Roberts with 11 points. Willow Knight had 11 for Butler.

McAuley 53, Beavercreek 45: Hallie Heidemann had 22 points to lead McAuley. Cori Dilsavor paced Beavercreek with 20 and Bailey Draughn and Carmen Williams each had 11 apiece.

Lebanon 63, Hamilton 50: Kendall Folley led Lebanon with 23 points and Alexis Straw tacked on 21. Kira Ash had 14 for Hamilton and Cici Riggins tacked on 12.

Talawanda 42, Winton Woods 35: Addie Brown put up 24 points, including a perfect 10-of-10 on foul shots, and Kyra Koontz added 11 for Talawanda.

Catholic Central 68, Middletown Christian 19: Abbigail Peterson carried Central with 16 points.

Stivers 41, Columbus Mifflin 34: Emily Fletcher poured in 16 points with 12 rebounds and 10 blocks to lead Stivers to a season-opening win.

Greenon 2379, Ben Logan 2257: Zachary Barnes rolled a 395 series in a losing effort for Ben Logan.

Southeastern 1918, Indian Lake 1868: Tyler Blankenship bowled a 376 series for SE. Gavin Amspaugh paced IL with a 313.

Girls Bowling

Ben Logan 2068, Greenon 2047: Freshman Kaylee Nicholas paced Ben Logan with a 374 series and Erica Warne added a 310.
