HS Results 12/18: Franklin’s Ferrell passes 1,000 point milestone


Junior Layne Ferrell recorded her 1,000th career point in leading Franklin to a 58-42 win against Stebbins in Monday’s girls basketball action.

Ferrell tallied 21 points with 13 rebounds for Franklin. Jordan Rogers added 14 points.

Korina Murphy paced Stebbins with 16 points.

Girls Basketball

Northmont 63, Fairborn 40: Makayla Cooper carried Northmont with 18 points and Salena Roberts chipped in 15. Evelyn Oktavec had 22 for Fairborn.

Wayne 88, Hughes 20: Olivia Trice had 17 points, Aubryanna Hall 16 and Nyla Hampton and Maya Dunson 12 apiece to lead Wayne.

Tri-Village 79, Madison 23: Emma Printz put up 21 points, Maddie Downing 17 and Lauren Flory 13 to lead TV.

Tri-County North 52, Dixie 46: Aubrey Stupp scored 23 points and Megan Poling put in 15 for TCN. Mckinlee Ruppert led Dixie with 21, including five three-point baskets.

Franklin Monroe 51, Covington 35: Audrey Cable scored 16 points and Corina Conley added on 11 points with 13 rebounds for FM. Samantha Whiteman carried Covington with 22.

Lehman Catholic 55, Fairlawn 40: Maddy McFarland tallied 15 points and Alanna O’Leary tacked on 14 for Lehman.

New Knoxville 43, Spencerville 28: Megan Jurasic scored 14 points and Morgan Leffel and Samantha Trego added 10 apiece for NK.

Boys Bowling

Wayne 2333, Lebanon 2250: Noah Kunkel bowled a 470 series and Charles Kunkel added a 417 for Wayne. Gabe Taulbee led Lebanon with a 444.

Girls Bowling

Wayne 2084, Lebanon 2029: Audrie Goffinet rolled the high series for 453 for Wayne. Mia Kordowski had a 380 for Lebanon.
