H.S. Results for 3/29: Connaughton passes milestone in Badin win

Noah Connaughton achieved his 100th victory in Badin’s 3-2 win against Northwest in boys tennis on Wednesday.

Connaughton won his first singles match by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 to reach the career milestone.

Seth Papania and Dominic Grime also had wins in helping Badin sweep the singles portion of the match.

Boys Tennis

Greenville 3, Tecumseh 2: Craig Manges and Branson Leigeber each had singles wins for Greenville. Mitchell Foland of Tecumseh beat Noah Haupt (6-1 6-0) in first singles.

Bellbrook 3, Alter 2: Zach Schultz and Andrew Haberlandt picked up a pair of singles victories for Bellbrook. Alter’s Adam White bested Brayden Kopp in three sets in first singles.

Fenwick 5, Carlisle 0: Dylan Sagan, Matt Page and Tim Erhart each picked up singles wins for Fenwick.

Baseball

Northmont 3, Decatur (AL) 0: Ryan Pullins struck out eight in the victory and Collin Hobert hit a home run for Northmont. The T-Bolts lost to Southside (AL) 2-1 in their second game.

Tippecanoe 13, Decatur Heritage (AL) 4: Bradley Calhoun picked up his first win of the year and Trevor Staggs went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to lead Tipp.

Fairborn 10, Tecumseh 0: Andrew Trickett tossed a three-hit shutout and Jacob Webb and Ryan Profitt each went 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and three runs scored for Fairborn. Reid and Blais Hale both doubled for Tecumseh.

Lebanon 7, Little Miami 2: A.J. Fritz and Tyler Inloes each went yard and Joey Perkins earned the win on the mound for Lebanon.

Fairfield 6, Lakota East 4: Fairfield rallied with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead. Brock Mathis had an RBI single, Will Kremer knocked in a pair of runs and Lucas Sheriff picked up the win for Fairfield. John Sherman doubled and Jefferson Szydlowski was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Lakota East.

Hamilton 6, Middletown 0: Jake Pennington earned his second win after striking out 10 in a complete-game shutout. Eric Roberts went 2-for-4 with a double and Austin Andrews was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Fenwick 4, Talawanda 1: Fenwick pushed across four runs in its last at bat with two outs for the rally victory. Thomas Vogelsang and Alec Bush each had basehits in the frame and Will Maier earned the complete-game victory.

Chaminade Julienne 9, Sidney 1: Cameron Benoit and David Ernst each went 3-for-4 with Ernst hitting a double and a triple to lead CJ. Austin McClain picked up three hits and scored the lone run for Sidney out of the leadoff spot.

Kenton Ridge 3, Northeastern 2: Kenton Ridge broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning. Calvin Diebert went 2-for-3 and Bailey Armentrout had a pair of RBI for KR. Alex Lockwood led Northeastern at the plate with a 2-for-2 day.

Indian Lake 5, Kenton 4: Tyler Reprogle and Nate Kaffenbarger each had a pair of hits and Kage Watson pushed in two runs as Indian Lake plated the winning run in the top of the eighth.

St. Henry 1, Spencerville 0: Nate Lefeld broke a scoreless tie when he doubled in Daylon Lange in the bottom of the eleventh. St. Henry extended its scoreless streak to 18 innings.

Ridgemont 10, Riverside 0: Hunter Kreglow notched three hits in a losing effort for Riverside.

Softball

Miamisburg 18, Xenia 3: MacKenzie Frantz pounded out five hits, Erin Teaney had a grand slam and Emily Kepple pushed across four runs for Miamisburg in the rout.

Springboro 3, Fairborn 2: Taylor Rice threw a tough game with eight strikeouts in a losing effort for Fairborn, but Springboro scored in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie.

Sidney 10, West Carrollton 0: Grace Shell threw a no-hitter over five innings for Sidney.

Fairfield 10, Hamilton 0: Taylor Delk struck out eight in a two-hit shutout and Lindsey Mitchell went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI for Fairfield. Allie Hudson and Autumn Griffie each had a hit for Hamilton.

Franklin 10, Valley View 0: Olivia Kelly was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Madison Earles and Chloe Miller each plated a pair of runs to lead Franklin.

Kenton Ridge 6, Northeastern 0: Carly Turner punched out 12 batters and went 2-for-2 with a double at the plate to lead Kenton Ridge. Jade Espinosa added a triple with two RBI.

West Liberty-Salem 11, Waynesfield Goshen 0: Kelsey Day earned the win and went 3-for-4 with a double at the plate for WLS. Kiana Reames was 2-for-3 with a home run and Hallie Strapp was 2-for-3 with a double.

Triad 3, Mechanicsburg 1: Triad pushed across a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie. Maddy Collier went 2-for-3 and Abby Ehrenborg had a triple for Triad. Mary Mayo and Miranda Lauchard each doubled for Mechanicsburg.

Covington 8, Centerville 7: Justice Warner, Lexi Long, Emma Dammeyer and Kenzie Long all had multiple hits for Covington, including a home run and three RBI from Dammeyer. Kelly Edsall had a home run for Centerville.

Riverside 12, Ridgemont 2: Aubrey Stillings was 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and Helena Faulder went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI for Riverside.

Boys Volleyball

Lakota West 3, Miamisburg 0: West swept the match, winning by scores of 25-7 25-15 and 25-7.

Carroll 3, Roger Bacon 1: John Brun tallied 10 kills and 20 digs and Spencer Bethel dished out 32 assists for Carroll.
