HS Results 1/4: Bellbrook girls take down CJ

The Bellbrook girls basketball team bested Chaminade Julienne, 65-48.

Bellbrook was led by Bekah Vine with 17 points. Nine of Vine’s 17 points came off three point shots.

Olivia Greathouse and Maren Freudenchuss tacked on 11 and 10 respectively.

Dallas Jones put up 18 points in the loss, shooting 3-for-4 from the foul line.

Annie Weckesser added on 10 for CJ.

Girls Basketball

Oak Hills 42, Middletown 39: Baylie Wieck led Oak Hills with 11 points. Aliyah Burks tallied 13 points, seven rebounds, two steals and an assist for Middletown. Samill Calhoun tacked on nine points and nine rebounds.

Greenon 66, Fairbanks 21: Reagan Ware put up 26 points in the win and Lydia Henry 18.

Franklin 47, Eaton 41: Layne Ferrell led all scorers with 29 points in the win. Bailey Shepherd and Kylee Pitsinger each chipped in eight for Eaton.

Oakwood 46, Milton Union 41: Lauren Hapgood and Kyndall Ketterer each shot for for 13 points in the Oakwood win. Kristen Dickison put up 17 points and eight rebounds in the loss.

Valley View 66, Dixie 29: Chloe Smith netted 16 points to lead Valley View in their win. McKinlee Ruppert led all scorers with 18 for Dixie.

Catholic Central 84, Northeastern 52: Ericka Ray tallied 25 points in the win.

Mechanicsburg 64, Madison Plains 16: Kasey Schipfer netted 19 points, eight steals, three assists and two rebounds in the win.

Ansonia 63, Bethel 47: Trinity Henderson led all scorers with 24 points in the win. Katie Werts tacked on 19.

Bradford 43, Twin Valley South 39: Skipp Miller put up over half of Bradford’s points in the win, shooting for 25. McKenzie Neal put up 10 for TVS.

Franklin Monroe 72, Tri County North 43: Audrey Cable netted 17 points for FM in the win. Tri County’s Aubrey Stupp put up 22 in the loss.

Miami East 54, Newton 41: Bailey Miller tallied 14 points in the win. Tatum McBride had 22 in the loss.

Tri-Village 52, Covington 42: Maddie Downing shot for 14 points to lead TV and Lissa Siler had 12. Samanta Whiteman led Covington and all scorers with 21.

Legacy Christian 52, Fenwick 43: Anne Kensinger and Maddy Combs each had 13 points in the win. Emily Riddle tacked on 12.

Russia 61, Fairlawn 15: Laurissa Poling led all scorers with 18 points in the win.

Coldwater 55, New Knoxville 36: Lauren Gilliland tallied a double double in the win with 15 points and 14 rebounds, adding on three assists and three steals. Kourtney Diller also had 15.

Minster 50, Delphos St. John’s 26: Demaris Wolf had 11 points for Minster.

New Bremen 47, Marion Local 38: Jane Homan and Kelly Naylor co-led New Bremen with 14 points each. Heidi Rethman had 10 in the loss.

St. Marys 71, Van Wert 61: Syd Cisco netted 25 points in the win, shooting 10-for-12 from the foul line. McKenna Mele followed close behind, tacking on 19 points, shooting for 100% on free throws.

Boys Bowling

Carroll 2543, McNicholas 2493: Jacob Schoening rolled a high series of 453 for Carroll in the win. William Granlund bowled a 405 for McNicholas.

Girls Bowling

Graham 2205, West Liberty-Salem 1797: Rachel Larson led the team with games of 141 and 167 for a 308 series. Katie Rollins rolled games of 135 and 151 to tack on a 286.

Wrestling

Allen East Quad: Coldwater took first overall all, besting both Ada and Allen East in the process. Nate Hoyng, Josh Fink, Seth Obringer, Drew Waite, Nolan Tobe and Thomas Schwieterman all went 2-0 on the evening.
