Report: Alter grad, ND QB Malik Zaire to transfer

Alter High School graduate and Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire will transfer.

After losing the starting job to DeShone Kizer, Zaire was sent to the bench, except for one start during the season at wide receiver.

In three seasons at Notre Dame, Zaire was 58-of-98 for 816 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. He was Division III Offensive Player of the Year All-Ohio in 2012 at Alter
