Reds prospect Trammell electrifying in Single-A Dayton

Reds outfield prospect Taylor Trammell is making noise in Single-A Dayton.

Trammell is slashing .283/.367/.448 in 118 games. He’s increased his walk rate from 9.1 percent to 12.1 percent, while slightly lowering his strikeout rate from 22.4 to 21.3 in the last year.

He came in at No. 70 in FanGraphs' top 100 summer prospect rankings. In his latest game, Trammell singled, doubled and stole three bases in a 7-2 win over the Lake County Captains.

Trammell’s wRC+ with the Dragons is 129, meaning he’s 29 percent better than the average player.

Trammell is still just 19-years-old. He won’t crack the Reds lineup anytime soon, but his journey through the minors will be fun for fans to follow.
